Jake and Mary Beck envisioned a simple yet stylish wedding with a relaxed atmosphere. They wanted their day to feel like a chic backyard gathering, set against the scenic Toccoa River. Their decor was minimal yet elegant—floral pedestals, oriental rugs for the ceremony, and a long dinner table adorned with vintage mix-matched china, brass candlestick holders, and candles.
More than aesthetics, their focus was on creating an easygoing experience filled with candid moments. Since they don’t have many professional photos together, they sought a balance of documentary-style images and editorial portraits—an approach that aligns perfectly with my photography style.
Nestled in North Georgia along the Toccoa River, Toccoa Lodge is a secluded venue ideal for intimate weddings. It offers a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, providing a private and versatile setting. The exclusivity of the property allows couples to host smaller gatherings without distractions, making it a great choice for a personalized celebration.
Toccoa Lodge provides both outdoor and indoor options for ceremonies and receptions. The riverside ceremony space features a naturally beautiful backdrop, perfect for an open and unobstructed setup.
For receptions, the venue offers a mix of covered and open-air areas. The main lodge includes an indoor space with a cozy, rustic feel, doubling as a backup in case of inclement weather. The flexible layout allows couples to arrange seating and event flow to fit their vision.
Designed for small to mid-sized weddings, Toccoa Lodge comfortably hosts intimate celebrations. The exact capacity depends on the event’s layout and whether the festivities are held indoors or outdoors.
For overnight stays, the lodge has on-site accommodations for select guests. Additional lodging options, including cabins, hotels, and vacation rentals, are available nearby, making it convenient for out-of-town guests.
Toccoa Lodge allows couples to bring their own vendors, providing flexibility in catering, decor, and entertainment. While a list of preferred vendors may be available, outside vendors are generally welcome if they meet venue guidelines.
Catering options vary, from plated dinners to buffet-style meals or food trucks. Alcohol policies may require a licensed bartender, so it’s best to confirm with the venue. The space is also vendor-friendly, making it easy to coordinate with photographers, florists, planners, and entertainment providers.
At Jake & Mary Beck’s wedding, they had fine-dining chefs prepare an incredible seven-course meal—a highly recommended experience for any special event!
