Georgian Terrace Hotel Wedding | Kevin + Buckley

Kevin and Buckley wanted their wedding to feel like a big social event in the heart of the city, and The Georgian Terrace was the perfect place for it. They love being around people—whether it’s game nights, trivia, or just spending time with friends—so having a downtown wedding with plenty of energy made sense.

Their summer wedding took place in the Grand Ballroom, filled with bold floral arrangements and a lively atmosphere. As a photographer, I focus on documentary-style storytelling with an editorial edge, capturing natural moments along with structured portraits that highlight the setting and mood.

If you’re considering a Georgian Terrace Hotel wedding, this venue offers a mix of historic architecture and a central location, making it a great option for couples who want a classic setting with a social, city feel. Here’s what you need to know about the space and what it offers.

My tips and advice for couples getting married at The Georgian Terrace:

  1. The hotel has many photo locations inside; however, aside from the patio/terrace there are no outside locations. So for any large groups of family/wedding party who want outside photos, consider going to the top of a parking deck close by for photos. This wedding didn’t have too big of a wedding party, but if you have a large wedding party and have the time, taking photos at another location really diversifies your gallery.
  2. I would recommend going ahead of time when you book the venue and scouting out rooms for getting ready for both the guys and gals to check the layout as well as the lighting. Having a open space to get ready as well as optimal lighting will help your wedding photos be more seamless.
  3. Consider doing your cake cutting on the balcony in the Grand Ballroom, my couple did this and it was so sweet and intimate for them while also letting everyone be a part of the fun.
  4. Take your wedding portraits throughout the hotel, there are so many good spots, but don’t forget to get some on the street level too, the architecture of the hotel is so gorgeous!

Words/advice from my bride:
Future brides will love the roof with the pool for skyline pictures. It’s pretty up there.

The hotel is right across from the Fox, where you could pay to have your names on the marquis, or even have rehearsal dinners over there, budget allowing. Included in the package is a bridal suite for the night before and day of, Penthouse for grooms, and you can pick one for wedding night to stay in! Loved that. Accessibility was great for family members who needed it.

Great location for out of town guests- pretty quick to get to any of the usual tourist spots.
